Customer Acknowledgment & Service Terms for Anderson County Residents

Our Trade Policies

By booking an appointment with Sperling Electric, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.
1. Scope of Work
This agreement covers electrical services for spaces with a maximum ceiling height of 10 feet. Work includes only the electrical services listed in your booking or quote. Drywall installation or repair, stucco or paint repairs, and structural modifications or carpentry are not included unless we agree in writing.
2. Condition of Existing Wiring
You confirm that all existing wiring, junction boxes, panels, and any existing wireways, conduits, or raceways are in good condition, properly grounded, and up to code.
3. Access and Readiness
You agree to provide clear, safe access to all work areas, keep areas free of obstacles and hazards, and keep pets and children away from the work area.
4. Additional Costs & Changes in Scope
If our technician discovers damaged wiring, deteriorated conduit, collapsed wireways, or other unsafe conditions, we will notify you before proceeding. Any repairs or extra work beyond the original scope will be billed separately and may require a new quote or change order.
5. Materials Not Included
Any materials, equipment, or parts not clearly listed in your original scope of work are not included in the service price and will be billed separately if needed.
6. Limitations and Exclusions
This service does not include drywall installation or patching, stucco or paint work, structural repairs or framing, or work outside the agreed scope or location. Any work outside this agreement requires a separate quote and approval.
7. Liability and Responsibility
Sperling Electric is not responsible for pre-existing damage or code violations, damage caused by the customer or third parties, or issues resulting from previous improper installations or repairs. Our responsibility is limited to the work we perform under this agreement.
8. Permits and Code Compliance
You are responsible for obtaining any required permits, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We perform work in accordance with applicable electrical standards and codes, but are not responsible for code issues outside the scope of the work we are hired to perform.
9. Warranty
We provide a 60-day warranty on workmanship (labor only) from the date of service. This warranty does not cover materials; materials are covered only by the manufacturer’s warranty, if available. The warranty does not apply to misuse, abuse, alterations by others, pre-existing conditions, or hidden defects.
10. Payment Terms
Payment is required at the time of booking through our online system, or you may call to arrange payment upon completion of the work, if approved in advance. All invoices are due as agreed; late or unpaid balances may result in service delays or additional fees.
11. Cancellation and Rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule at no charge if you provide at least 24 hours’ notice before your appointment. Cancellations or reschedules made less than 24 hours before the appointment may incur a cancellation fee or result in forfeiture of any deposit, at our discretion.
12. Right to Refuse or Halt Service
Sperling Electric reserves the right to refuse service or immediately stop work if a technician determines project conditions are unsafe, unworkable, or fall outside the original agreed scope. In such instances, the client remains liable for any work completed and a standard service call fee.
13. Service Area
We currently serve Anderson County only, unless otherwise agreed in writing before booking.

Financial Obligations

Booking & Costs: Secure your project via our online system during booking or contact us to arrange payment upon finishing. Please note that materials are billed separately if not listed in the initial estimate. If our technicians find damaged conduits or code violations once work begins, we will provide a new quote for these repairs before continuing. Cancellations or rescheduling require at least 24 hours' notice to avoid fees. By booking, you acknowledge that unforeseen site conditions may lead to additional billable work, which will always be discussed with you first.
